Container capacity is limited by both weight and volume. Tea density, inner liner, sack or carton size, pallet use, container type, route and legal payload all affect the final result.

Planning ranges

  • 20GP: approximately 7–11 metric tonnes.
  • 40GP: approximately 16–22 metric tonnes.
  • 40HQ: approximately 18–24 metric tonnes.

These are broad planning ranges, not guaranteed payloads. Smaller packs, heavier cartons and pallets normally reduce the tea weight that fits inside a container. Dense bulk sacks may use the available space more efficiently.

Mixed-container orders

Several approved green tea grades can share one full container when the package dimensions, lot quantities, marking and loading sequence are confirmed in advance. The final packing list should match the booking and customs documents.
