Chapter one · An ancient tea landscape
Before tea became a global drink, it was a tree in China's southern mountains
The world's first great book devoted to tea begins with a tree: “Tea is a fine tree of the south.” In the same opening passage, Lu Yu records old tea trees in “Bashan and Xiachuan.” Another passage associated with the historic Xiazhou region speaks of good tea from the mountains south of Xiazhou—an area linked in national cultural-tourism records with present-day Wufeng.
That is the heritage we stand inside. We do not use history as decoration on a package. Tea still shapes the slopes, villages, seasons and livelihoods around our factory. Wufeng is part of China's ancient tea-origin landscape, and Yunjing Tea is a modern production company growing from that living source.

Chapter two · High mountains, better conditions
A factory at around 1,000 metres, close to the leaf
Our factory is not in a coastal trading tower. It sits between two great mountains in Wufeng, at around 1,000 metres above sea level, close to the gardens and the people who know them.
Cooler mountain air, mist, changing light and the rhythm of the seasons shape when the leaf grows and when it should be picked. Proximity matters commercially too: we can see the raw material, separate lots by use, react to the harvest and process tea without adding another sourcing layer between the garden and the buyer.

Chapter three · More than fine spring tea
A leaf valuable enough for both the cup and the laboratory
Wufeng produces much more than small-batch famous tea. Commercial leaf from the region also enters deep-processing supply chains, including tea-polyphenol extraction.
Extraction-grade material is not the same product as premium drinking tea, but it reveals something important to an industrial buyer: this region has abundant leaf, commercially useful biochemical value and the scale to serve different markets. The same origin can produce delicate early-spring buds, everyday Chunmee and Gunpowder, robust machine-harvested tea, and raw material selected for further processing.

What buying from the source changes
Origin alone is not enough. A serious buyer also needs repeatable output, lot control, lawful production, documents and clear communication.
Cooperative garden network
We coordinate supply with approximately 14,000 mu (about 933 hectares) of cooperative tea gardens. These gardens are partner sources, not company-owned land.
Tea production
Our business licence and food production licence cover tea and related products. Shipment documents and testing are confirmed by destination and contract.
Source-side pricing
We process and organise supply at origin, reducing unnecessary layers between raw material and buyer quotation.
Our pricing principle
We do not promise to be the cheapest tea in China.
We promise a more direct route to the right tea. Price still follows harvest, grade, appearance, cup, specification and order size—but source access and factory processing give us room to build a competitive offer without hiding quality behind a trading margin.
Building a future export base
100+ mu in organic conversion for European and North American programmes
A separate garden area of more than 100 mu (about 6.7 hectares) is being developed for certification-oriented production. The land is currently in the organic conversion period.
Important: tea from this area is not currently offered or labelled as certified organic. Subject to successful certification, compliant production and certification-body approval, the earliest planned certified sales are expected in 2027.
