An official report from the Hubei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs described continued work to modernise Wufeng's tea industry through green production, mechanisation and intelligent processing.
The report states that a 2021–2025 cooperation project between the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Wufeng county government supported industrial upgrading. It also reports approximately 220,000 mu of tea gardens and annual dry-tea output of about 30,000 tonnes across Wufeng.
Why this matters to overseas buyers
A stronger origin cluster can improve access to machinery, technical support, processing knowledge and a broader raw-material base. It does not remove the need to approve each commercial lot. Importers should still confirm the actual sample, specification, residue requirements, packing and contract.
